About
Able Creative is a design studio founded on the belief that everyone deserves beautiful, functional living spaces that meet their needs and enable them to thrive. Designing homes that incorporate accessibility through Universal Design and Aging in Place principles promotes flexibility of use for home owners and visitors. This approach allows greater independence in navigating the home environment in the likely event that someone experiencing temporary or long term disability will live in or need to visit the property.
From a broader perspective, the more accessible homes there are in a community, the more resilient and interconnected it is likely to be, with neighbors of all ages who know and help one another. While there are many factors involved in developing well built neighborhoods, Able Creative is here to help design and advocate for beautiful, practical homes that support inhabitants through every season of life.

Designing homes that expand access and equitability to high quality design is a central commitment of mine to the built environment and community at large. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute as a designer, project manager, and accessibility advocate on a variety of building types at architecture firms known for high quality, award winning projects.
After a close family member experienced a sudden and debilitating injury, I shifted my professional focus to designing and advocating for greater accessibility in residential, particularly single family homes, due to the lack of building code requirements. Through the application of Universal Design, accessibility, and Aging in Place principles, individuals and families are empowered with greater independence and communities are able to remain connected and resilient with a full spectrum of ages and levels of ability represented.
My career began in San Francisco designing commercial interiors for technology and sustainability driven architecture firms with clients in the Bay Area. Since the end of 2014, I have been a resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and have worked on a wide variety of architecture and interior projects located throughout the southeast region.
I hold a Masters degree in Architecture and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture from Savannah College of Art & Design. I am a member of the Chattanooga AIA Chapter and also hold the credential of LEED AP. I believe it is both a duty and a privilege to contribute to building a better world in which all have the opportunity to thrive through every season of life.
“A well designed home is both beautiful and functional for all who enter.”
